CALL TAKER: 911, what is the address or location of your emergency

CALLER: It is on the interstate, on 77 north, there was a huge crash, there are cars everywhere.

CALL TAKER: You are on Interstate 77 north. What is the last exit you passed

CALLER: I just passed exit 23, I can see the sign for exit 25 ahead.

CALL TAKER: So you are between exits 23 and 25 on 77 north, is that right

CALLER: Yes, yes, please send help.

CALL TAKER: Tell me exactly what you see.

CALLER: At least six cars, one truck is sideways, one car is crushed in the back. People are out of their cars, some are screaming.

CALL TAKER: Do you see any fire, smoke, or fuel leaking

CALLER: I smell gas, and one of the cars has steam or smoke from the front.

CALL TAKER: I have help on the way. I need you to stay in a safe place, away from oncoming traffic. Do not stand in the travel lanes.

CALL TAKER: Can you tell me how many people look seriously hurt, not moving or having trouble breathing

CALLER: I see one person slumped over the wheel and another on the ground not really moving.

CALL TAKER: Stay near them if it is safe, but do not move them. If you can, tell others to turn on hazard lights and keep traffic from hitting the scene.

CALL TAKER: I am sending police, fire, and multiple ambulances. Stay on the line and tell me if anything changes, like fire starting or someone becoming unresponsive.
